IYK - Inyokern Airport The Birds of Inyokern Airport |
Back to the Inyokern Airport home page Some
of the "guys" hanging
out on the south ramp while a FedEx Cessna 208 Caravan lands on runway 33. |
|
This
handsome gentleman is an American
Avocet. He's usually found on the
Pacific Coast, but he stopped by Inyokern Airport for a rest on a long
cross
country
flight. He says "IYK is my favorite High Desert airport. I recommend it to all my friends." |

| This
Barn Owl -
named Hootie, for obvious reasons - is one of the birds based at
Inyokern Airport. He (she?) frequently takes up residence in the
rafters of
Hangar
1,
the "Big
Hangar." |
